Virgin Hotel Miami
Utilizing a full range of creativity from Richard Branson, Studio Ramirez wove local Miami into the fabric of the first ever Virgin Hotel in Florida. Branson had a British Colonial vision for this hotel, and Studio Ramirez added its own local flavor and created a paradise for its future guests.
The vision was to forge unique spaces, such as “The Kitchen,” which highlights complimentary hues to make a bright, comfortable space with a familiar atmosphere. Patterned wallpaper and the varying textures in seating aim to keep the space interesting yet curated.
“The Junction,” or the reception area, showcases a sweeping staircase with bold colors and textiles so the rooms feel connected, yet individual.
With its eye-catching sparkles and loud colors, “The Shag Room” presents the night-life of Miami at its finest. Plush seating, bold patterns, and unique wall structures make an intimate and mysterious ambience that have guests pouring a second drink.
The Virgin Hotel bestows homage to Miami by using a local design team, and Studio Ramirez brought this vision to life by telling the story of a Miami from the past, from the true perspective of a local.
